About

The ACES program was developed in 2007 with a goal to increase the overall quality of girls fast-pitch softball in Alberta. It is open to girls from the ages of 8-18 at all skill levels. The only qualifications required are a love of the game, and a desire to learn more.

All members of the ACES program play in the ACES Super League. Teams in this league are kept small and are specifically designed to be balanced. Every game is a good, competitive game. Every girl gets plenty of playing time and lots of at-bats against high-quality pitching. Because all the girls train together throughout the year, there is a camaraderie that exists across teams. Not only is every game a good game, it’s a fun game.

Many ACES members will also play on travel or provincial teams, and on teams that play in Calgary’s Woman’s leagues. Because of the high quality of ball in the Super League, these teams don’t have to travel as much in order to find good competition. This means that the travel teams do not require the huge budgets that many have seen in the past. This is good news for all based on the downturn in the economy.

ACES also runs spring and fall Firecracker programs and a variety of winter clinics.
