Monday Night Mites
Every Monday to Thursday, The ACES Provincial teams play their league games at Ed Corbett Field in NE Calgary. Ed Corbett Field is one of the premier softball facilities in Alberta with a fully fenced field, sunken concrete dugouts, stands for thousands of fans and easy access of Deerfoot and 16 Ave. Monday nights have been set aside for the Mites. We have a few dates available for Calgary Mite teams to come in and play an exhibition game against the ACES Mite team in a great softball environment. Those dates are

Games will be scheduled to start between 6:30 and 6:45. We want to make sure that all players and coaches have time to get there! Rules and style of play can be discussed beforehand to determine what is in the best interests of all involved. If you are interested, please contact ACES Mite Head Coach Greg Tarr – gregtarr@acesacademyofsoftball.com. There are only 6 dates available, so please respond ASAP. There is no cost to the visiting team!!
Mite/Squirt Super League Saturdays
In the ACES Program we feature “Super League Weekends” for everyone. All of the players in our program are divided into divisions and teams that are relative to their skill. Pitchers and catchers are distributed evenly among the teams so that the games can be competitive and special rules are used to make the games competitive. We would like to invite any and all interest Mite and Squirt players to join us in softball skill development. Community teams can use the time in place of a practice!! All of the players on a team can register, or if only a few players are interested, then they can register on their own. This is a great tool for both coaches and players to learn and develop.
We are planning to have 3 Super League Saturdays for Mite/Squirt aged players from Calgary and the surrounding areas. May 15, May 29, June 19. Costs will be minimal – About $20 per player for all 3 dates.

ACES Mite Provincial Team Development
The Mite Provincial Championships are in Red Deer this year on the July 2-4 weekend. There are lots of Mite players and coaches in Calgary that may want to attend Provincials, but most teams don’t attend so the opportunity to attend is very limited. Our goal is to expand that opportunity so that any Mite player who wants to attend Provincials can have that opportunity. The ACES Program is prepared to assist with the training and development of any Mite player and coach who wants to play in the Softball Alberta Provincial Championships. If you want to take your team as whole, we will assist you finding the necessary players to fill your roster and we will help with training and development of all players. If there are players in Calgary that want to participate as individuals, we will assist in getting the right players on teams with coaches and we will assist in the development of those players and coaches.
Calgary should have at least 4 Mite teams at the Provincial Championships. Last season, we had 2 teams. The season before Calgary had only 1 team at Provincials. Let’s get to 4 teams.
